CTE Experiences for Individual Student Growth: A CTE Director's Role in Maximizing Program Potential

1. The session is about increasing student opportunities aligned to their postsecondary goals and workforce needs.
2. CTE directors will benefit from this session.
3. CTE directors will review current gaps or potential opportunities and discuss how those can be messaged from a district level, including planning and implementation.
4. Participants will utilize a reflection document to determine their current areas of programmatic stagnation and will hear about various opportunities to increase engagement through career exploration in middle school, military career readiness, school-based enterprises, opportunities for students with special needs, and sharing stories with the community. We will discuss professional development ideas to increase these areas.
5. Participants will receive a reflection tool, slide deck, and planning document.
