Best Practices for CTE Administrators Conference 2026
Wednesday October 7, 2026 11:15am - 12:15pm PDT
Discover how Jeffco Schools maximizes student opportunities by strategically aligning CTE Health Science courses with Colorado Academic Standards. This session highlights how Jeffco’s internal crosswalk process ensures these courses function as lab-based science credits that meet graduation requirements, while maintaining rigorous academic proficiency through hands-on, industry-relevant learning.

District and school-level administrators, CTE coordinators, and curriculum specialists looking to increase graduation pathways and program enrollment will gain a repeatable framework for identifying standards overlaps, allowing them to implement similar credit-equivalency models in science, math, or ELA. This systemic approach helps institutions validate the rigor of CTE while solving scheduling conflicts for students.

We will move beyond theory with an interactive "Crosswalk Lab," where participants use mapping tools to align sample CTE competencies with state standards. The session concludes with a collaborative roundtable to troubleshoot local policy barriers.
