Getting Creative with In-District Dual Enrollment Online CTE Delivery

Dual enrollment is expanding rapidly, yet access remains uneven—particularly for students from low-income backgrounds, students of color, and those historically excluded from accelerated coursework. Research from the Community College Research Center and Jobs for the Future shows these gaps are often driven by program design and delivery, not student ability.

This interactive roundtable explores how districts can get more creative with in-district online and hybrid delivery models to expand access to high-quality CTE dual enrollment without replacing existing programs. Participants will examine evidence-based design principles, scheduling approaches, and support structures that help students succeed in flexible learning environments. Using real district examples, attendees will engage in guided discussion and planning activities to evaluate their own delivery models and identify practical, equity-centered improvements they can implement in their schools or systems.
