Best Practices for CTE Administrators Conference 2026

This session reframes multilingualism as workforce capital within Career and Technical Education (CTE). Drawing on a case study from Upper Bucks County Technical School and its partnership with ACTFL/LTI and NOCTI, participants will explore how credentialing students’ language skills strengthens employer alignment, increases wage potential, supports Perkins V accountability, and advances equity through Universal Design for Learning.


Attendees will examine employer demand data, student ROI outcomes, and a practical implementation roadmap for launching language credentialing in secondary CTE programs. The session is designed for CTE leaders seeking stronger workforce alignment, improved credential attainment metrics, and scalable equity strategies.


Engagement strategies include live polling, structured reflection prompts, small-group discussions on local employer needs, and a guided implementation-planning exercise.


Participants will receive a step-by-step launch checklist, partnership framework template, and a replicable communication toolkit to initiate or expand language credentialing in their own institutions.
