Best Practices for CTE Administrators Conference 2026
Wednesday October 7, 2026 11:15am - 12:15pm PDT
What makes a CTE program truly successful? The answer is people, both the instructors who bring industry expertise into the classroom and the students they are preparing for meaningful careers. As a new CTE administrator, I have experienced firsthand the urgency of addressing two critical challenges that affect programs nationwide: instructor turnover and the gap between technical training and the soft skills employers demand.
This session will take an honest, practical, and relationship-centered look at how administrators, especially those new to the role can build a culture of trust and belonging that keeps great instructors in the classroom and equips students with the professional behaviors, communication skills, and work ethic that employers consistently cite as top hiring criteria.
Prepare to engage in an interactive and hands-on workshop that will provide you the opportunity to network with other CTE administrators, reflect on your leadership and walk away with actionable strategies you can easily implement to build a climate and culture centered on authentic relationships.
