Best Practices for CTE Administrators Conference 2026
Wednesday October 7, 2026 11:15am - 12:15pm MDT
What makes a CTE program truly successful? The answer is people — specifically, the instructors who bring irreplaceable industry expertise into the classroom every day. As a new CTE administrator, I have experienced firsthand challenges facing programs: instructor turnover. Finding qualified CTE instructors is already difficult; keeping them requires intentional, relationship-centered leadership.
Redesigned as a roundtable session, this facilitated discussion invites participants to engage deeply with the theme of instructor retention through relationship building in a supportive, collegial setting. Rather than a one-way presentation, attendees will share what is working in their programs, surface common challenges, and co-construct practical strategies they can implement immediately. The presenter will anchor each rotation with a brief framing of key ideas, then open the table for peer-driven dialogue.
