About me
Renee Zentz is a dynamic leader with over 25 years of experience in construction industry advocacy, vocational education, and community development. She served as the CEO of the Housing & Building Association of Colorado Springs (CSHBA) for 23 years, where she championed numerous initiatives that strengthened both the local community and the broader construction industry. One of which was a non-profit, Careers in Construction Colorado (CICC). Renee now serves as the President & CEO of Careers in Construction Colorado (CICC), a nonprofit organization founded by CSHBA and the Association of Commercial Contractors of Colorado (AGC). CICC offers a highly scalable model, dedicated to unite the construction industry in Colorado to provide high school students across Colorado with hands-on vocational education. Through this program, students earn Department of Labor-recognized pre-apprenticeship certifications and develop practical skills that not only prepare them for construction careers but also for success in life. Under Renee's leadership, CICC has grown significantly, expanding statewide to 92 schools and providing opportunities to over 4,600 students annually. As a result, thousands of students are entering the construction industry directly or pursuing post-secondary education.
